The Hitch Hiker - By Xavier

It was a joyful afternoon. Just me cruising up the coast in my brand new ride. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a very dozy man. He was glaring out to sea while waiting for a ride. I pulled over and asked him “Do you want a ride?” He said nothing. It was as if he was in his own world. “Hey you! Want a ride?” “OK” He finally replied.

He was very strange! I decided to carry on with my trip. I looked in the rear mirror, the man looked very unusual. Shocked, smashed, destroyed. I was unsure if I had done the right thing.

I was so scared so I calmed myself down by listening to the radio. But in the silent of sounds the radio announced ‘a prisoner has escaped from jail’ then he described the hitch hiker sitting in the back of my car. I thought to myself, “what do I do? Should I kill him? No!”
“Hey you” he said. He had a gun to my head. “Listen! Do what I say and I wont hurt you.” He took me to a random place in the bush. He looked mad as a wild bull then I took my opportunity and knocked him out with one punch. Grabbed the gun and then called the police.

A close call!

Superb story Xavier.

I like the way you used a list of adjectives to give the reader a quick burst of knowledge. e.g Shocked, smashed, destroyed.

Great!!!!!!
